Peggy, my librarian's, Best Biscuits, ever |
| For those of you who aren't teachers - we make have mean pot-lucks! Especially the breakfasts. Many of my favorite recipes I have gotten that way. I loved the mornings she brought these! |
| 2 cups flour
1/2 t. salt Preheat 400 deg. Using a spoon or pastry
cutter, mix flour, salt, soda and baking powder. Add Crisco. Add
buttermilk and mix with spoon, just until moistened. Fold 4-6 times on
a floured surface. Biscuits will be tough if handled too much. Bake 20 mins at 400.
